Some bad weather, Party and Robo Rally

After nice skiing in Sölden we headed for Disentis, Sulan had to get back to work and we wanted to visit our friends at Nangijala.

The temparature rised to almost 20 degres in the walley and flowers and all the other signs of spring were everywhere in Disentis. Yes it was nice to take a beer at the terrace of Nangijala!
To find good skiing we took the train to Andermatt (hoping for colder snow and colder temperature), but we found flat light, and stone hard ”pansar snö”. We turned back to Nangijala to play a match of Robo Rally (a board game) and drink some beers. After two rounds of Robo Rally and ”some” beers in the bar, where Danne filled up the shoots glasses with Fernet Branca, we woke up to the first day without skiing and a major hang over... Tired we sleept all day and tested the local kebab.

The last day we skied at Disentis. The snow had really started to melt, so we had a day with really nice riding in the slush. A day with just skiing, that was good!
That evening we packed Flodas car and start driving to Lenzerheide. Next time we tell you about Lenzerheide and Dannes birthday in Disentis.

In the homeland of Ötzi

Our second trip on our journey is Sölden in the heart of Tyrol. To get the best experience of Sölden we have called in reinforcment in form of “Ötzi der Alpman”, or as most people call him, Pierre.
Being in Sölden during the easter holiday made us do something we hadn’t done in years, standing for one hour waiting in a lift line. Could 10 000 german carving lovers be wrong? This place must be super!
The skiing in Sölden was surprisingly good considering it hadn’t snowed for more than two weeks. We found some nice runs in “untouchble powder” in the spring sun.
After working on the goggle tan for one week it is now time for Sulan to get back to work and the rest of us to meet up with some old friends in Disentis.

Sölden ist wunderbar

After an hour of scary rocky climbing we realised that we reached a dead end. Disappointed we faced the fact that we had to climb back down. Life sucks!

After some good days we had to test the aprés ski, with german techno music and big beers.

After too many weeks without skiing Mike and Erka flew down to Zurich to hook up with our “putzfrau”. Sulan shows the world it’s never to late to be a skibum and has been working for food and lodging by cleaning the toilets at Nangijala in Disentis the whole winter.

As always we´re aiming high, so our first stop was Europes highest elevated town Davos where we had nice spring conditions: Blue skies, sweet slush but also some cold powder.

inventions in a perfect harmony: Techno music and strobe lights.

Jag Mackan och min kära vän och Sch kamrat Olof Hörnesten drog och skatade i Malmö några timmar i förgår.

Den riktigt sköna och varma vår solen

gjorde inte våran 2 timmars skate sämre.
